To get a cheaper bill, this American restaurant encourages you to pray before eating.
The restaurant Mary’s Gourmet Diner, in the middle of Winston-Salem, North Carolina
offers its customers a 15% discount on the price if they agree to pray in public before tasting the dishes.
No one had heard of this special offer until a receipt from the restaurant was posted on social networks.
The rebate, which appears on the note as"praying in public", is not a commercial act as t60 year old manager explains "It’s about the whole idea of gratitude, it's not a religious thing, it's a spiritual thing."
Customers are not told ahead about this action, it is only when the manager notices that someone is praying that she immediately counts down the percentage.
An act of pure generosity? It does not say whether she accepts prayers of all faiths!
